Manufactured in 1863 with standard markings and features, including all matching serial numbers on the metal and grip. It comes in an English fitted hardwood case with an iron "COLT'S/PATENT" dual cavity bullet mold, small Sykes powder flask, and two cap tins.

Fine with scattered patches of bright original blue finish concentrate on the breech section of the barrel, 40% original case colors, 40% original silver plating concentrated around the trigger guard and under the grip, aged patinas on the silver and exposed brass, and smooth gray and brown patina and some light pitting on the balance. The cylinder scene and other markings remain crisp. The fine grip has much of the original varnish with mild edge wear, light scratches, and some hammer marks. Mechanically excellent. The relined custom case and accessories are fair with the lid separating at the joint.
