Description:

The Second Model Maynard carbine were manufactured by the Massachusetts Arms Company between 1860 and 1865. This model was used by cavalry units during the Civil War including the 9th and 11th Indiana and 11th Tennessee cavalry units. It has standard markings and features including crisp "AJN "and "JM" cartouches on the left side of the stock.

Rating Definition:

Good with traces of original finish, mottled brown and gray patina, mild pitting, a couple patches of heavier pitting, and general marks and scratches. The stock is very good with crisp cartouches and has some nice figure, some scattered small dents and bruises, and a few light scrapes. Mechanically fine.
