Description:

Standard markings and features including the "H&P" marking. Dated "1827" on the lock and "1861" on the breech.

Rating Definition:

Fine with dark brown and gray patina, mild pitting, and scattered minor marks and scratches. The barrel bands and buttplate appear to have artificial brown patina, and the lock has oil staining. The stock is also fine and has some surface chipping mostly concentrated around the tail of the lock and rear of the trigger guard, scrapes on the wrist, vice marks ahead of the trigger guard, and some small slivers absent. Mechanically excellent.
