Manufactured in the late 19th century. The frame has vine and leaf acid etched patterns and "P.L. BREVETE/G.D.G." is marked on the underside. The pistol was manufactured without sights. The sides of the frame feature molded panels with additional floral motifs and "LE MERVEILLEUX" in a banner on a dot background. Provenance: Gillespie collection.

Fine. The pistol retains most of the etching and 30% of the nickel finish with the balance a mottled gray patina. The left panel is repaired, otherwise the panels are good. The action cycles but the follower needs work.
