The barrel has engraved and gold and silver inlaid peacock and Kasai clan mon designs and is equipped with traditional triangular blade front and grooved block rear sights. The breech band, breech plate, and other brass elements are engraved with floral designs and a lion design is on the right side of the butt. Peacocks are associated with the Japanese deity Kannon, the goddess of mercy and compassion.

Very good with dark brown patina, distinct engraving and inlays, some mild oxidation and pitting, and varied aged patina one the brass. The stock is very good and has a chip ahead of the pan and light scratches and marks. Mechanically fine.
