Description:

Measuring 28 3/4 inches overall, with a 21 inch blade showing a strong and wavy hamon and very active grain, installed in a copper habaki. The tsuba is round iron construction, with pierced and carved leaf decoration, with copper fuchi and koshira, green cord wrap, and floral-themed menuki. The tang is has a single mekugi-ana, and bears an eight-symbol signature on the left side. The saya is finished in red with black speckles, with a green cord sageo and a dragon-themed kogatana.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The blade has been sharpened, with mild spotting, some rough spots on the edge and strong hamon. The guard shows a well-aged patina, with some light staining on the grip, and the saya is good.
