Manufactured in 1924. The barrel has the one-line Hartford address on top and "38 W.C.F." on the left side. The left side of the frame has the two-line patent dates marking followed by the Rampant Colt. The left side of the trigger guard has the number "3" and the Colt triangle proof. Matching serial numbers are stamped on the frame, both grip straps under the right grip panel and cylinder (02). Fitted with fancy checkered Rampant Colt medallion grips. Comes with two factory letters (one date 1973 and the other dated 2000) that state the revolver had a 7 1/2 inch barrel in 38-40 caliber, blue finish and checkered walnut grips when it was shipped to Smith & Bichel Co. (address unknown) on January 2, 1925.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% plus original blue finish and case colors showing a few minor handling marks and some cycling marks on the cylinder. The extremely fine grips are the correct style replacements showing limited minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. A high conditioned, factory documented revolver that will make a fine addition to any Colt SAA collection.
