Description:

Manufactured in 1900. The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 7 1/2 inch barrel in .38-40 caliber, blue finish and type of stock is not listed when it was shipped to Montgomery War & Co., Chicago, IL on July 25, 1900. The barrel has the one-line address on top and "38 WCF" on the left side, and the left side of the frame has the two-line patent date marking with a circled Rampant Colt. Matching numbers are on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. Comes with a floral tooled S.D. Myres holster.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 60% original blue finish mixed with some cold blue and smooth gray patina. The hammer and frame retain 30% of original case colors. The grips are also fine showing some minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The holster is excellent.
