Manufactured in 1884 (the first year of production) with a German silver "Rocky Mountain" blade front sight, adjustable sporting rear sight, standard markings, multi-point checkered forearm/pump handle, and smooth straight wrist stock.

Good with 60% original blue finish, half of the original case colors on the hammer, bright original niter blue on the sides of the trigger, gray and brown patina on the balance, scattered scratches including a group from the handle on the lower right flat, and slight spotting. The cross screw through the upper and lower tang is a short replacement. The forearm is very good with mild handling wear, mostly crisp checkering, and light scratches. The buttstock is fair with a nicely executed repair on the lower right side of the wrist, material absent along the sides of the upper tang, and minor dings and scratches. The forward trigger bow is missing the slide release lever. Mechanically excellent.
