Manufactured in 1905 and subsequently embellished by Firearms of Engravers Guild of America member Master Engraver Aaron "Duke" Pursley in 2003. The guild recognizes Pursley as one of only 45 master engravers in the country. Pursley signed and dated his work "AP" and "03," respectively, on the butt. The engraving consists of floral scrollwork accented with thin gold inlaid line borders. A band of gold inlaid stars is featured on the rear of the cylinder. Additional gold inlaid stars appear on the top strap and loading gate. The back strap has a cluster of gold inlaid scrolls followed by an engraved blank panel. The revolver has standard Colt markings.

Fine as professionally embellished by Master Engraver Aaron Pursley. The revolver retains 90% of the blue finish showing a few scattered small patches of minor spotting and the back strap beginning to thin. The grips are near new showing the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
