Manufactured in 1953. Dual bead sights on the matte rib with a 28 GA. - 2 7/8 inch marked chamber, standard barrel markings, Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, and "SKEET" marked choke. "50" is stamped on underside of barrel. Matching serial numbers on the receiver and collar. With a diamond pattern checkered extension forearm and pistol grip stock with hard rubber Winchester grip cap, and checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate. Marked "16" on the front of stock on the interior (writer is not sure, due to the late 1953 production date if the factory used the same stocks as the 16 gauge models or if it is replaced). Stock measurements are: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 13 3/4 inch length of pull. No marking to designate 28 gauge on back of frame.

Very fine as assembled, most likely by factory. 95% original blue finish remains with some light surface scratches and mild handling marks. The wood is also excellent with sharp checkering, and a few small dings on the buttstock. Mechanically excellent.
