The included factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, stock configuration and checkering, and June 10, 1907 date of shipment. German silver blade front and elevation adjustable rear notch sights, standard barrel markings, and Winchester "WP" proofs on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Fancy checkered forearm and pistol grip buttstock with a hard rubber Winchester grip cap, and checkered Winchester hard rubber buttplate.

Very fine. 80% plus original blue finish remains with an area of gray patina on the underside of the receiver, light edge wear, and scattered dings and surface scratches. The wood is also very fine with well defined checkering, small dings throughout, and two hairline cracks visible on either side of the wrist at the frame junction. Mechanically excellent.
