This slender rifle is signed "20 L.J. Gardner 09" on top of the barrel and has traditional blade and notch sights, an unmarked English style lock, double set triggers, nickel silver accents and inlays, fine engraving and carving in mostly traditional patterns, and a nice even "red" finish on the stock which has a contrasting forend tip. The patch box contains a jag and ball puller.

Very fine overall as custom made with smooth antiqued blue finish, minor wear on the frizzen face, and light handling and storage type marks. Mechanically excellent. It is a beautiful contemporary rendition of the classic American long rifle.
