Manufactured in 1942, this pistol bears a number of markings from the Proof House at Birmingham, suggesting that it was among the armament supplied to Great Britain under Lend-Lease. Fixed sights, with the two-line slide address, tonnage marks on the chamber, additional proofs on the slide and beneath the "U.S. PROPERTY" mark on the frame and a pair of checkered Colt medallion grips. The Colt magazine is finished in full blue. This British Proofed U.S. 1903 Pistol is sequentially numbered to the next lot.

Excellent, with 98% of the original parkerized finish, showing some light handling marks and edge wear. Traces of old storage grease are present on multiple components, and especially thick on the left grip panel around the medallion. The grips are very fine, with a few dings on the otherwise sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
