This P-38 has been custom reworked by California gunsmith John Martz, who significantly reduced the overall dimensions of the pistol without sacrificing the distinct profile. Measuring 6 3/4 inches in total length and 4 7/8 inches tall, this pistol is fitted with fixed sights, with "JVM" and "23" in ovals on the left side of the frame and "P.38 4473L AC44" on the slide. The grips are checkered fancy walnut, with straw finished small parts. Both magazines are resized to match the frame and marked "JVM/23" on the bases.

Near mint as custom made, with bright finish, showing a few light handling marks. The straw colors are bright, and the grips show crisp checkering, attractive grain, and minor dings. Mechanically excellent.
