Description:

Produced by John Martz of Lincoln, California, best known for his reconstruction of Luger and P-38 pistols to accommodate more powerful cartridges, such as this example in 38 Super. Blade front and notch rear sights, with an unmarked slide, "38 SUPER" over "JVM" and "3" on the right side of the frame opposite a faint Nazi proof, and straw finished small parts. The grips are checkered walnut, with a bright steel magazine stamped "JVM" on the base.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as custom made, with bright finish, showing some light handling marks and spotting. Thin but colorful straw finish is present on the small parts, with light contact wear. The right grip panel has been chipped and repaired, with sharp checkering and fine grain. Mechanically fine.
