Operating out of his home workshop in California, John Martz is best known for his alterations and upgrades of Luger and P-38 pistols, all of which are performed by him and often take several months of work. Starting life as a DWM American Eagle Luger, the barrel and grip frame of the pistol have been elegantly shortened, maintaining the unique Luger profile in a more handy size. Blade front and notch rear sights, with the "American Eagle" on the chamber, the "DWM" monogram on the toggle, commercial proofs on the extension and toggle, and "JVM" and "200" in ovals under the side plate. Grips are attractive checkered walnut with smooth borders, a smooth back strap and three "JVM" marked wood based magazine numbered "1", "2" and "2".

Near mint as custom upgraded to current configuration, with 98% plus high polish blue finish, showing some minor handling marks overall. The grips are also near mint, with a few light dings on the crisp checkering and attractive grain. Mechanically excellent.
