Manufactured in 1930, this pistol is equipped with a matching numbered slide, a 1/10th inch wide front sight and a "MATCH" marked barrel; predating the introduction of the National Match Pistol as a production item, Colt made a limited quantity of match quality pistols as special order items. The matching numbered slide has the two line address and patent dates on the left side, and the right side has the caliber marking with the Rampant Colt. The frame is marked "1/VP" and "60" on the trigger guard, with a flat top rear sight, checkered slide stop, wide hammer, short milled trigger and arched mainspring housing, checkered grips, full blue magazine marked "36239" on the pinned floorplate, and a "COLT 45 AUTO MATCH" marked barrel.

Very fine, with 95% of the original blue finish, showing some light scuffs on the front strap, areas of bright gray patina over light pitting and minor handling marks. The grips are good as varnished, with some mild dents. Mechanically excellent.
