The letter confirms the configuration including the beautiful Class "D" engraving consisting primarily of scrollwork with baked ink accents by Master Engraver Ben G. Lane. "BGL" is among the scrolls on the left side of the barrel. Even the sides of the front sight blade and hammer are engraved. All of the numbers match. It has a screwless frame with no patent markings, and the caliber marking is just "45" on the bottom of the barrel. It was shipped as 1 to Cherry's Fine Guns in Greensboro, North Carolina, on April 3, 2009. The matching shipping sleeve and box are included.
