Manufactured in 36, the second year of production. Hooded ramped beaded blade front sight, the rear sight has been removed and a filled block installed and it equipped with a bolt mounted peep sight. Standard markings with Winchester oval proofs on the top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Mounted on a deluxe checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber Winchester grip cap, checkered steel buttplate, sling swivel base and gold initial oval inscribed "JOHN MOORE".

Very fine with 85% plus original blue finish with some muzzle and high point wear, magazine tube plug is fading to a smooth gray patina. There is some thinning on the underside of the receiver and some light spotting on the receiver as well. The wood is fine with numerous scratches in the varnish on the stock, and few minor dings and dents on the forearm and overall crisp checkering. The markings remain sharp and clear. The action is excellent.
