Beaded blade front and flip up notch rear sights, with "J.P. SAUER & SOHN, SUHL" marked on both barrels, light engraving around the breech and on the rib extension, 2 3/4 inch chambers from 2 1/ inch, single extractor, standard German commercial proofs on the flats, and improved cylinder/full chokes. The barrels are marked in electric pencil under the forearm "Dr. Finger/Wiesbaden Friedrichstr. 6". The receiver features sculpted fences with side clips, splashes of fine floral and scroll engraving, the J.P. Sauer maker's mark on both lock plates, dual triggers, tang mounted safety, and a flip up elevation adjustable peep sight on the tang. Checkered forearm with engraved fittings, and pistol grip buttstock with the "Dr. Finger Wiesbaden" address marking on the left side under the shadow line cheekpiece, engraved cartridge trap with two spent 9.3x72R casings, and a serrated horn buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .665/.666 inch; minimum wall thickness .032/.030 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at comb 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 14 inches.

Fine. 85% original blue finish remains on the barrels with a few spots of a light gray patina, scattered small nicks, and handling marks overall. The receiver has 25% original case colors in the protected areas and a smooth gray patina on the balance with sharp engraving, clear markings, and some traces of light spotting. The wood is also fine with well defined checkering, small dings throughout, and the above mentioned inscription on the wood. Mechanically excellent.
