Description:

Beaded blade front and flip up notch rear sights on the matte rib marked "PETER HELBIG, BERLIN" with 2 3/4 inch chambers, single extractor, and full/full chokes. The right barrel has been fitted with a Krieghoff .22 LR chamber adaptor, and the rib has been drilled and tapped with an "H. KING" marked scope base and Weaver K1 scope installed. Casehardened receiver with light geometric and scroll engraving, double triggers, Greener style side safety, cocking indicators, and tang mounted selector switch. Checkered forearm and pistol grip buttstock with a scalloped horn grip cap, raised cheekpiece, and serrated horn buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .777/.778 inch; minimum wall thickness .025/.025 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 13 3/4 inches.

Rating Definition:

Fine as refinished. The barrels have 75% of the thinning reblued finish with some areas of light pitting visible under the blue, scattered small dings, and clear markings. The receiver has a mostly gray patina with 35% original case colors in the more protected areas, and some darker spotting. The refinished wood is fine with a rich oil finish, well defined checkering, small dings, and chips on the buttplate.
