Manufactured in 1955. This shot gun comes with two barrels. Both have a factory matte vent rib with a diamond pattern checkered walnut forearm, both are 12 gauge, numbered to the gun and have a 2 3/4 inch chamber. One barrel is 30 inches long, has dual steel bead sights, have standard markings with the Winchester oval proof offset to the left at the breech and is choked full. The other barrel has been shortened to 22 1/4 inches, is fitted with a Cutts compensator, has a single mid bead sight and is choked WS-1. The receiver is engraved with three ducks in a marsh scene, in an oval panel of scroll engraving and borders on the left side, all gold filled. The right side has a hunting dog on point with scroll around the scene and bordering the receiver, again all gold filled. Mounted with a multi-point checkered walnut pistol grip stock with a hard rubber Winchester grip cap and checkered buttplate. Drop at the comb is 1 5/8 inches, drop at the heel 2 1/2 inches, and the length of pull is 14 1/8 inches. Comes with a custom-made wooden case with lift-off lid, which has a Winchester label affixed to the inside and brass tag affixed to the outside inscribed "WINCHESTER/MODEL 12". In the case is a rear Accura-site, a spring-loaded choke gauge, a brass choke gauge, , a Cutts adjustable comp tube, three Lyman screw-on chokes, choke wrench, a three-piece wooden cleaning rod and a bore brush.

Fine as partially refinished (receiver) and professionally embellished with 98% blue finish remaining on the receiver, showing some minor spotting on the right side and some loss of the gold fill. Both barrels retain 99% original blue finish and both show some thinning and finish loss on the magazine tubes from normal cycling of the action. The stock has been lightly sanded and refinished, and shows a few minor dings and very crisp checkering. The forearms are both excellent with some scattered minor dents and dings and crisp checkering. The case is excellent.
