Manufactured in 1894. Fitted with dovetailed blade and notch sights. Winchester factory oval proofs, which became standard around 1903, are stamped on the barrel and faintly on the top of the re-case colored receiver. The top barrel flat has the two-line address, and the upper tang has the three-line model/patent dates marking.

Very fine as refinished. The rifle retains 95% of the blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The hammer, receiver, trigger guard and buttplate retain 98% plus of the case colors. The refinished wood shows a few very scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
