Manufactured in 1926, this is one of only about 25,000 Model 53s Winchester produced. It has beaded blade Marble Sheard front, non-factory replacement adjustable folding leaf rear and tang sights, a barrel marked with the Winchester legend on the left side and two-line address on the right side, Winchester factory oval proof on the barrel and receiver and straight grip stock with serrated steel buttplate.

Fine. The rifle retains 30% plus original blue finish with the balance a mix of smooth brown and gray patinas. The wood is very good with numerous minor-moderate pressure dents and scratches and finish loss. Mechanically excellent.
