Manufactured in 1890/91. The rifle is fitted with spirit level globe front, folding 2 leaf rear and Vernier tang sights. The no. 3 barrel has a top flat marked with the two-line address ahead of the rear sight and "40-90 S.S." at the breech. The lower tang has the patent date and serial number. The straight grip stock is fitted with a crescent buttplate.

Fine. The professionally refinished barrel retains 99% of the blue finish showing a minor scuff mark towards the breech. The remaining metal surfaces retain 25% faded original case colors. The revarnished wood has some very scattered minor pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
