Manufactured in 1889 with a German silver blade front sight, the two-line barrel address, adjustable sporting rear sight, "22 SHORT" on top at the breech, "1" on the bottom ahead of the Schnabel tip forearm which has an ebony insert and is marked "22," the patent marking and serial number on the lower tang, tang mounted peep sight, and smooth buttstock with rifle buttplate.

Fine. The barrel retains 60% of the original blue finish with some thinning to brown and light spotting. The remaining surfaces have traces of case colors and mottled gray and brown patina. The refinished wood is very good and has some light scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
