Single bead sight on the matte rib inscribed "AUG. FRANCOTTE A LIEGE" with fine gold wire inlay. With 2 5/8 inch chambers, auto ejectors, and modified/full chokes. The water table and barrel flats have been brilliantly engine turned and have standard Belgian commercial proofmarks. The barrels are inscribed "ABERCROMBIE & FITCH Co./NEW YORK, NEW YORK" on the right and left respectively. The vividly casehardened receiver features flourishes of fine, tight scroll engraving, side clips on the fences, dual triggers, and a tang mounted automatic safety. Checkered extended forearm with an Anson style latch, engine turned fittings, and straight grip stock with a checkered walnut buttplate. The stock measurements are: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 13 7/8 inch length of pull.

Very fine as professionally partially refinished. 99% of the blue finish remains with sharp inscriptions, bright gold inlay, some small dings around the muzzle, and a very slight wave visible in the polishing. The receiver has 95% of the vivid original case colors with sharp engraving, some light silvering on the high points, and areas of a mottled gray patina on the trigger guard. The wood is fine with small scratches and dings throughout, well defined checkering, some visible light sanding marks, and a freshened rubbed oil finish. Mechanically excellent.
