Single bead sight on the smooth concave rib marked "COGSWELL & HARRISON. THE AVANT TOUT. 142 NEW BOND St. & 226 STRAND LONDON" with 2 3/4 inch chambers, ejectors, standard British commercial proofs on the flats and water table, and cylinder/modified chokes. The receiver is engraved in a fine English scroll pattern with "COGSWELL & HARRISON" in banners on each side. The trigger plate, trigger guard, and tangs are similarly engraved. With dual triggers, and tang mounted automatic safety. Checkered splinter forearm and straight grip buttstock with a blank initial oval, and serrated hard rubber buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .735/.731 inch; minimum wall thickness .025/.033 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 1 7/8 inches; length of pull 13 3/4 inches.

Fine as partially refinished with 98% of the blue finish on the barrels, slight buffed though legible markings, and some scattered light dings. The receiver has a mostly gray patina with some light spotting and discoloration. The wood is also fine with well defined checkering, small scratches overall, and scattered small dings. Mechanically excellent.
