Manufactured in 1887. The barrel has dovetailed blade and elevation adjustable sights and marked with the two-line address and "40-82 W.C.F." The upper tang is marked "-MODEL 1886-," and the lower tang is marked with the two-line patent marking and serial number.

Fine. The barrel, magazine and bolt retaining 40% original blue finish thinning to a brown. The remaining surfaces have a mix of smooth brown and gray patinas. There is some deep pitting on the buttplate. The wood is also fine showing a long scratch and some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
