Manufactured in 1895 as a third model with the dust cover rail integrally machined as part of the receiver. Equipped with globe front, elevation adjustable rear and Lyman tang sights. The top barrel flat is stamped with the two-line address/patent dates marking and "22 SHORT." The cartridge elevator is stamped "22 CAL/SHORT." The action is fitted with a special order set trigger.

Very good plus. The rifle retains 25% plus of original blue finish mostly strong in and around the protected areas with the balance a mottled brown patina. There is some minor pitting on the barrel. The sanded and re-oiled wood is fine showing some chipping and some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
