Description:

Standard inverted "V" and fixed notch rear sights, "1918" dated chamber, and imperial military proofs and acceptance marks on the right side of the barrel extension. The pistol is numbered in the military fashion with the full number on the front of the frame and matching partial numbers on the various components. All visible numbers with the exception of the magazine are matching, including the grips. The pistol also displays a number of "crown/RC" proofs indicating the pistol was rejected for imperial service due to a failure of non-critical tolerances or external flaws but was later accepted for service. With the "crown/RC" markings releasing the inspectors from liability should the pistol fail at a later time. Standard checkered grips and a nickel body magazine with non matching wood base.

Rating Definition:

Fine. 70% original blue finish remains with areas of high point and edge wear, numerous small dings and scratches, clear proofs and inspection marks, and some light spotting and pitting visible on the grip straps. 50% of the original straw remains on the small parts. The grips are also fine with crisp checkering and scattered dings and bruises. Mechanically excellent.
