Description:

This is mid-production Walther K43 semi-automatic rifle with the type III receiver with the inline, "K43" markings next to the stacked "ac 44" markings both inside the milled out section of the receiver. It is fitted with a K43 marked Gw ZF4 sniper scope with the wartime code of "ddx" for the Voigtlaender and Sohns factory on the left side. The scope comes with a late-war cast mount stamped with a single Eagle/359 Waffenamt proof on the side and the serial number "1142" marked on the front end. The scope comes with a leather and wooden lens caps and a split rubber eyecup. The receiver is correctly proofed on both sides with the Eagle 359 Waffenamt proof along with the factory Eagle firing proofs. The receiver has a single bolt guide with a late production top cover without the hold open latch and the hollow cocking knob. The bolt cover has a Eagle/359 Waffenamt proof along wit the late production cast in "45" markings. Although the bolt cover is serial numbered to the receiver it has a different number style than the receiver so it may be a field or factory replacement. The barrel is the earlier blued version without the turning marks and is without the threaded muzzle nut. It is fitted with a laminated stock and handguard faint/partial Eagle 359 proof on the left side below the sling slot. The rifle is complete with a late-war brown cross-hatched leather sling marked "JGA 1944", a blued cleaning rod, rubber muzzle cover and a K43 marked magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very good with 85% plus of the wartime phosphate finish with edge and high spot wear mixed with some spotting and minor blue loss on the bolt and sliding dust cover. The stock is very good overall but it has been lightly sanded overall with a modification through the top of the pistol grip on the right side area and both the stock and handguard have been lightly varnished. The mount is in very good condition with the gray cast finish and the scope retains 90% plus of it gray phosphate finish with clear but slightly hazy optics. The rubber eye cup is split and the lens cap is in very good condition. The sling is also good to very good with finish loss on the face of the leather.
