Inverted "V" blade front and tangent rear sights with standard proofs and acceptance marks on the barrel, "dot/eagle/63/1944" on the receiver ring, "Mod. 98" on the receiver rail, and matching visible serial numbers. Laminated stock with late-war stamped and welded components, "eagle/H" army acceptance mark on the right side of the butt, and a cupped steel buttplate. With bayonet and steel sheath.

Good. 80% original finish remains with areas of high point and edge wear, surface scratches and dings, and spotting on the buttplate. The modified, lengthened duffle bag cut wood is good with dings and dents throughout, sharp edges, and visible markings. Mechanically excellent.

Hooded blade and tangent sights, with the barrel marked "44N20" near the breech, "byf45" on top of the front receiver ring, "eagle/swastika" and "eagle/135" proofs on multiple components, and matching visible numbers. The smooth pistol grip stock is proofed "eagle/135" on the wrist and right buttstock.

Very fine. 85% plus original combination blue/phosphate finish remains with areas of brown patina mostly on the barrel bands, scattered nicks and dings, and some edge wear. The stock has been duffle cut, but is otherwise very fine with light markings, and small dings overall. Mechanically excellent.
