Manufactured during the final days of the Portuguese Monarchy, between 1908 (the ascension of King Manuel II) and 1910 (the deposition of Manuel II and the establishment of the Republic of Portugal). Fixed sights, with the "crown/M2" royal cipher on the chamber, three "circled triangle" army acceptance marks on the extension, barrel and frame, and a "DWM" front toggle link. The extractor is marked "CARREGADA", and the lower safety marking is polished blank. Fitted with straw finished small parts, checkered grips and a nickel magazine with a "circled triangle" stamped hardwood base. Includes a correct brown leather flap holster marked "A.E" on the interior, with a cleaning rod and a small pin punch.

Rating Definition:

Fine as refinished, with 75% of the arsenal blue, showing a dull patina in the grip region, pitting on the back strap, and mild spotting and handling marks overall. 40% of the refurbished straw color remains, with traces of original niter blue in the protected areas. The grips are very good, with some dents and stains. The holster is very good, with some cracking and scuffing. Mechanically excellent.
