Manufactured in August 1941 and later arsenal upgraded to M1D sniper configuration. Blade front and peep rear sights, with a "DRC" windage drum, and a Springfield "1-52" barrel with integral scope base. Internal components include a Springfield bolt, hammer and operating rod, safety and trigger housing. Smooth pistol grip stock, with an circled "P" on the underside of the wrist, the Defense department "eagle" stamp on the left side of the wrist. The rifle includes original CMP shipping box addressed from the Anniston Defense Distribution Depot. The included accessories are for the most part in the original sealed storage sleeves and envelopes and include: M84 scope with matching serial number on the sleeve; scope mount, T4 pattern pronged flash hider, "MRT/3-69" marked leather cheekpiece, sling, and cleaning supplies. The CMP bill of sale is also included as well as a parts manifest for the included accessories.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished and upgraded to M1D sniper configuration. 99% arsenal gray parkerized finish remains with mostly light handling and cycling marks. The reoiled stock is very good with some small dings, and faint markings. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with old packing tape, corner wear, and pressure marks throughout.
