Manufactured in May 1940, and subsequently upgraded to National Match specifications possibly by an arsenal. "NM/062" front sight, "NM" marking on the left side of the barrel "1 63" dated Springfield barrel, "NM" marked operating rod, "NM" marked windage drum, hooded peep sight, and "NM" marked rear sight elevator. The inside of the floor plate and barrel channel in the stock match the gun with the partial serial number "8733" in white marker. The stock is bedded with a single Ordnance "eagle" stamp on the left side, circled "P" on the underside of the wrist, stamped checkered buttplate with trap, and a leather sling.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished and subsequently upgraded to National Match specifications with 98% post-war gray parkerized finish remains with some light edge wear, and cycling marks. The refinished stock is fine with small dings throughout, light DOD stamp, and wear on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
