Manufactured by Colt in 1944 and subsequently selected by Springfield Armory to serve as the base of this 1911A1 National Match pistol. Fitted with a "NM 7790313" marked barrel and Colt slide, both numbered to the frame, with a serrated Patridge front sight and a Micro rear sight with the Ordnance Department "crossed cannons" on the left side of the dovetail. The barrel bushing is marked "7267718/NM". With a milled adjustable aluminum trigger. The left side of the frame is marked with the "GHD" inspection stamp. The right side of the frame is stamped "SA" after the serial number, "NM" on the trigger guard bow, and "T" just behind the trigger. The front grip strap is checkered and the arched mainspring housing is serrated with a lanyard loop at the base.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished and upgraded to National Match specifications with 97% of the gray parkerized finish remaining, traces of light edge wear, some small surface scratches, and light handling marks. The grips are also very fine with dark stain spots visible overall and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
