Manufactured in 1956 for use by U.S. military shooting teams for practice and competition. Fixed Patridge blade front and Micro fully adjustable rear notch sights with standard markings on the left side of the barrel extension and "U.S." stamped in large letters between the ejection port and the breech. Standard checkered grips. With a later production replacement factory Mark I box (marked for a shorter barrel length), muzzle brake, and extra magazine.

Excellent. 98% plus original blue finish remains with some wear around the muzzle from the muzzle brake, and small handling marks on the balance. The replacement grips have a few small dings, but are otherwise excellent. Mechanically excellent. Box is fine with some corner and edge wear.
