Description:

Manufactured in 1863 and later engraved by Firearms Engravers Guild of America member Rachel Wells. A floral scroll pattern on a punch dot background is engraved throughout, and the butt is signed "Rachel Wells Engraver." The top of the barrel has the one-line New York address, and the left side of the grip has traces of a cartouche. Matching serial numbers are on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, back strap, arbor pin and wedge.

Rating Definition:

Very good as professionally embellished. The revolver has an overall bright appearance. The barrel has been slight shortened. The undersized refinished grip is good with a filled repair on the bottom. Mechanically excellent.
