The top of the barrel has the one-line New York address, the left side of the frame is marked "COLTS/PATENT," and the both sides of the grip have traces of a cartouche. Matching serial numbers are on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, back strap and arbor pin and the wedge is un-marked.

Rating Definition:

Very good as professionally embellished. The revolver has a bright appearance overall. The undersized refinished grip is very good with a few minor dings. Mechanically excellent.
