This highly attractive, ornately carved period leather holster fits only a Colt Walker Revolver; anything else swims in it. The holster is open top style with sturdy belt loop on the reverse and a smaller loop on the face for mounting a dirk or knife. The front body of the holster is adorned with expertly carved floral motifs from top to bottom featuring broad leaves and a large “TEXAS ROSE”. The carved border extends to the back.

Extremely fine to excellent for its obvious age. The holster shows very little use, with only the slightest overall age cracking on the fold. Stitching is tight as new. The carving is crisp. It appears the holster originally had a plug, which is now missing and considering the weight of a Walker revolver, not surprising. A must- have accessory for the serious Colt Walker owner/collector that is almost impossible to find. We cannot remember when we last saw one and this is unquestionably in the top handful of known examples in terms of condition and beauty.
