Description:

Measuring 9 inches overall, with a 4 inch single edge spear point blade, marked "J WINTERS/2 4/FURNACE HILL/SHEFFIELD" on the left ricasso and fitted with a lockback spine. The German silver guard bears scroll and shield motifs, with a pair of stag horn grip panels, and an arrangement of a horse's head, fouled anchor and a cannon on the pommel.

Rating Definition:

Good. The blade shows a mixed gray patina, with mild handling and sharpening, and the hilt shows some light wear and fine detail in the pommel.
