Description:

This is one of just 700 Sharps converted around 1870 at the Springfield Armory. It has a standard military blade front sight that doubles as the bayonet stud, blued notch and folding ladder rear sight, bright barrel and furniture, the matching number "35389" on the left side of the barrel at the breech, standard New Model 1863 patent markings on the lock and frame, an "ESA" cartouche on the left side of the wrist, smooth stock and forearm, and sling swivels on the upper barrel and butt.

Rating Definition:

Very good with 70% plus arsenal refurbished case colors, mostly bright remaining surfaces, some minor marks and scratches, and some slight pitting. The markings are generally crisp. The refinished wood is good with a few small dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
