Description:

This revolver falls within the correct 4000-6000 serial number range for the 4th variation of the Marston pocket revolvers. Marston manufactured the Pocket Model variations from the late 1850s into the early 1860s and marketed them under multiple names. The barrel is marked "THE UNION/ARMS CO." at the breech. It has a small cone front sight, a grooved rear sight on the flat top strap, fluted cylinder, and smooth grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 90% original blue on the barrel, 70% plus original blue on the cylinder, 20% original blue on the fame, 90% original varnish on the grips, chip on the toe of the left grip, some patches of mostly mild pitting, a deep pit ahead of the serial number on the bottom of the frame, and light scratches and marks. Mechanically fine.
