Description:

Manufactured in ten different variations in the 1850s and 1860s. Less than 12,000 are estimated to have been manufactured in this configuration. It has a post front sight, "E. WHITNEY/N. HAVEN" on the top of the barrel, a ball type loading lever catch, and top strap groove rear sight. The serial number "3580" is found on the cylinder pin, barrel, loading lever and right grip panel.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus. The barrel retains nearly 25% original blue finish, otherwise the revolver has a smooth brown-gray patina and some minor pitting. The grips are also very good with a minor surface chip missing near the bottom and a number of minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
