Description:

Manufactured during the Civil War. It has the standard markings and features, including a "BH" cartouche, small inspection marks, and matching serial numbers on the barrel, frame, and grips (cylinder not numbered).

Rating Definition:

Very fine overall with 95% plus original blue on the barrel and cylinder and 40% plus original blue on the frame. The finish loss is primarily from flaking not from wear, and the metal has taken on a smooth brown patina in the flaked areas. The excellent grips have a crisp cartouche and minor handling and storage marks. Mechanically excellent.
