Description:

10,500 of these "side lever" Hall carbines were produced by Simeon North in 1844-1853. More than half are believed to have been rifled during the Civil War. This one remains smoothbore and has standard markings and features.

Rating Definition:

Fair with gray and brown patina and extensive pitting mostly concentrated on the receiver and breechblock. The revarnished stock is also fine with a repaired chip at the back of the action, "J R D" carved behind the trigger guard, and some scrapes and dings. Mechanically fine.
