Numbered in the 1904-1905 serial number range noted for Remington-Lee sporting rifles based on the Model 1885 Navy action. According to the included pages from "The Remington-Lee Rifle," these were the last of the Lee rifles cataloged by Remington. It also notes that the .45-90 was advertised, but that the author was unable to located any examples. This rifle is marked "45-90" on the underside of the barrel ahead of the forend in individual digit stamps and has a German silver front sight, standard sporting rear sight, the standard patent and manufacturer markings on the left and upper left of the receiver, a steel rifle buttplate, and a round knob semi-pistol grip stock with two checkering panels on the grip with two points towards the action and grasping grooves on the Schnabel tip forend.

Fine with 30% faded original blue finish, gray and brown patina, light oxidation, signs of chemical discoloration, and scattered marks and scratches. The stock is fine as refinished and re-checkered, has an empty hole in the bottom ahead of the toe from a swivel, and some light scratches. Mechanically fine.
