Description:

This was originally built as a Spencer carbine during the Civil War and was subsequently converted into a sporting rifle after the war. It features a low blade front sight, fixed semi-buckhorn rear sight, signs of wedge or pin staples on the bottom of the barrel for a full length stock, standard Spencer markings on the action, and a brass hunting horn pinned on the right side of the butt,

Rating Definition:

Fair overall with dark brown patina, mild oxidation and pitting, heavy overall wear, chips and cracks in the wood, and some missing parts. It appears to be mechanically fine.
